There are two types of batteries, namely:
1. Primary Battery
A battery is a battery that can only be used once, using irreversible reactions.
2. Secondary Batteries
Secondary battery or usually called a rechargeable battery is a battery that can be refilled using a chemical reaction that is reversible (reversible reaction) is usually used on mobile phones.
Battery Working Principle
A battery is a device that is capable of producing DC voltage, that is by changing the chemical energy contained therein to electrical energy through the electro-chemical reaction, Redox (Reduction - Oxidation). Batteries consist of several electric cells, electric cells are the storage of electrical energy in the form of chemical energy. These battery cells are electrodes. Negative electrodes are called cathodes, which function as electron givers. Positive electrodes are called anodes which function as electron receivers. Between the anode and the cathode current flows from the positive pole (anode) to the negative pole (cathode). While electrons will flow from the cathode to the anode.
